Project Coordinator

APEIR was initiated in 2006 to promote regional collaboration in avian influenza research. In 2009, APEIR expanded its scope to include all emerging infectious diseases (EIDs). APEIR is EIDs research network composed of researchers, practitioners and senior government officials from Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam.

In 2014, APEIR start new APEIR-MBDS joint project on  Transmission of Pathogens with Biosecurity Concern in Southeast Asia Cross Borders: Problem, Risk Factors and Policy Implications.  

Project Coordinator

Main Responsibilities
The project coordinator ( PC ) will manage and provide support to Project implementation under the supervision of APEIR Coordinating Office (APEIR CO)/Health Systems Research Institute (HSRI); undertake day‐to‐day business and work collaboratively related with project. The PC will facilitate the implementation of the project which include management and M&E of the project.  The overall job involves tracking the progress of the project, delivering project milestones, communicating with partners and other duties as needed to contribute to the success of project.


  • Public health background, Master degree with experiences at least 2 years in related field is preferable.
  • This is required full‐time responsibilities.
  • Field work experience is a plus.
  • Experience on organizational and administrative skills.
  • Excellent English proficiency.
  • Have a basic computer skill (Microsoft Office) and be able to maintain the website.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required.
  • This position with 3 month- probation with extendable up to 30 months.

Preferences are the APEIR member country nationalities and understand and recognize the social-culture of Southeast  Asia.
